The April Beta drop for Design Room Live! is now available. Here are the major highlights:
Sequence Diagrams - Support for Self Message Creation –
User can now create the Self message on a given lifeline in both the free-form and structured sequence diagram by selecting the target lifeline same as the source lifeline.
Design Room ONE Integration – Support multiple Symbols Import - You can now select multiple elements in Design Room ONE and copy their URLs and paste to create the corresponding Design Room Live! elements and leverage the Design Room Live real-time collaboration capabilities for further design discussions.

In Design Room ONE select multiple elements and open the context menu and click on the Copy URL option:
Now, open the Design Room Live whiteboard area and perform a paste (ctrl + v) action. The corresponding Design Room Live element will be created as follows:
Configuration – configure maximum number of sessions allowed – Design Room Live! admin user can now configure the maximum number of user sessions allowed.
Steps to be followed:
1. Stop Design Room Live!
2. Open <drlive-install-directory>/user_config.js file.
3. Set maxNumberOfSessions to required value. Default value is 50.
4. Restart Design Room Live!
If any user tries to login a new session beyond the above value, user will be shown an appropriate message and will be automatically logged out.
Also, other configurations such as mongodbURL and sslPort can be configured in the <drlive-install-directory>/user_config.js.
If the same is mentioned in both <drlive-install-directory>/user_config.js and <drlive-install-directory>/lib_server/modules/config.js, the values mentioned in the <drlive-install-directory>/user_config.js will take the precedence.
Users Palette – Display the user sessions count – Now, user sessions count is also displayed beyond the user name in the logged in users view as follows:
This will help users to know how many sessions are opened for a given user.
Edit Element– Earlier to edit an element user need to click on the Edit option in the Halo toolbar.
Alternatively, you can now open the Edit element dialog by double clicking on element.

Chief Architect – Design Room Live!
