Last week I presented Design Room ONE at IBM Think in Las Vegas together with Sandeep Katoch and Kimi Cousins. In the meantime our development team finalized the new version 2018.12 that now is ready for download. In this version we have raised the version number from 1.0 to 1.1 to emphasize that a number of customer-reported enhancements now have been implemented.
One of these enhancements is that the Explorer view now is sorted and filtered in the same way as the Project Explorer in RSAD. This means that fewer nodes are shown (low-level details are filtered out) which is good both for performance and usability. Also, the nodes are sorted by type and alphabetically, which makes it easier to find what you are looking for.
Another improvement is that we now support multi-selection also in diagrams. You can select multiple shapes by holding down CTRL when clicking on the shapes in a diagram. The context menu command Copy URL now copies the URL of all selected shapes, and you can for example paste the URLs into Design Room Live! to quickly transfer information from a Design Room ONE diagram to a Design Room Live! whiteboard.
Another thing worth mentioning is a new document that describes the steps needed in order to start Design Room ONE as a service on Windows.
Have a quick look at the new Design Room ONE version in this 4-minute video. As always we appreciate your feedback. The next release of Design Room ONE is planned to be ready around April 16.
