The latest version of RSARTE, released yesterday, is called 10.2 2018.09. Let's look at some of the many news in this release.
You can debug execution of a generated real time application using the model debugger (see the picture above). The feature is an evolution of the "model execution" feature that has been around for a while. You can now launch model debug sessions more easily by means of context menu commands that are available on the transformation configurations. We also did several usability improvements in the user interface. The model debugger is an experimental feature that we will continue to improve over the next coming releases.
Build variants allow you to manage the complexity of building multiple variants of an application from the same model and transformation configurations. It provides the means to define a graphical user interface for customizing the standard RSARTE build user interface, and allows to connect scripts to the various widgets in that user interface. Those scripts were previously difficult to debug, but in this release we have introduced a new Build Variants console that can be used for tracing the execution of the scripts. This makes it significantly easier to develop your build variant scripts.
