A new version of RSARTE is now available. You can download it here. As usual the release is packed with new enhancements and bug fixes. Let's have a look at a few of them. The Events view is now easier to work with. The Event, its Data Class and its Data are separated into individual columns in the table, where only the Data column is editable. Another improvement is that you now can populate the Events view by dragging protocol events directly from the Project Explorer and dropping them in the table. The Search view now supports negated filters, i.e. filters that match everything except what matches the filter string. You negate a filter by entering an exclamation mark before the filter string.
Another improvement related to Search is that filtering now can be made more dynamic, so that a new query is performed against the search index as soon as the filter string changes. This behavior makes filtering more intuitive since new search matches can appear if the filter is changed after having run a search (previously filtering could only remove matches from the search result). However, this feature comes with a performance cost since the filter string has to be compared against all items returned from the search index. Therefore you have to enable a preference, called Advanced Filtering of Search Results, to get this behavior. Note that this preference is currently experimental. For more information about the new release, see this web page.
